Creating space for more than just a gardening shed
When the leaders and ākonga at Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School needed storage space to house their gardening equipment, the team at Container Space jumped in to help.
Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School's incredible garden is part of PiPS – People, Plants, Schools - a charitable programme created in the Bay of Plenty, that enables tamariki at participating schools to create a bountiful garden at their school.
In this video, we learn more about why PiPS is so important to the school community at Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School and discover how the team are going to put their new shipping container to use as a shipping container garden shed.
How PiPS is helping Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School to flourish
Ki te mea ka taka te kākano ki te wāhi e tika ana ka tinaku, ā, ka pihi ake he tipu hou.
If a seed falls in the right place it will germinate and a new seedling will sprout.
PiPS was formed in 2016 by a group of school parents in the Pāpāmoa Beach/Mt Maunganui area of Aotearoa New Zealand, who are passionate about demonstrating, to our children and their families, the principles of kaitiakitanga: respect and care for the environment and an understanding of how to grow our own food.
Container Space NZ is proud to support PiPS by gifting a shipping container shed to Te Manawa ō Pāpāmoa School's garden. We hope this gift will enable ākonga, their whānau, and the entire school community to flourish.
